Focke Wulf 190A

This superb Luftwaffe fighter was designed by Kurt Tank in the late 1930's. The twin row cylinders of the BMW 801 radial engines fitted to the aircraft allowed it to lift more weight than its counterpart the BF109 thus allowing it to be configured as a fighter, fighter bomber and ground attack aircaft.

See Wikipedia for additional information on the FW190 here:

My primary reference for building my FW190A-5 and which I will use for future builds is the excellent and recently released Valiant Wings book on the FW190.

The book has drawings and load outs for every possible FW-190 and also has a section on model kits where it reviews the present offerings by Eduard, Tamiya, Hasegawa etc. A super excellent reference.
