This is my version of Tiger 112 that serverd with Heavy Tank Batallion 501 during operations with Panzer Armee Afrika in Tunisia. Tiger 112 was one of the first Tigers to see action in North Africa along with Tigers 132 and 11. The model is the Tamiya kit heavily modified to produce an accurate Early Tiger that served in North Africa. For add-ons I used the Aber Early Tiger PE set, Metal tow cables and smoke launchers from Voyager, Resin Tank tracks (mirrored type) Aber Brass Bow and Co-ax MG and Ultracast German Army Helmets with liners. Veterans of the battles in North Africa had said that they remember the first Tiger tanks being green in Colour. There is an interesting debate on what the actual colour of these first Tigers were but generally the consensus has been they were either painted in RAL8000 or RAL7008, RAL8000 and RAL 8020 or a combination of both. For my build I chose Testors enamel RAL7008 for the colour scheme.
