This is Tamiya's new tool P-38F/G which I did for a group build World War II Aircraft.Net. This particular P-38F was the most successful P-38 in the Mediterranean achieving 16 kills from various pilots.  Among the pilots to fly her was the MTO leading Ace Lt. William "Dixie" Sloan with 12 Kills. The aircraft was written off after crashing upon returning from a mission on 23rd of May, 1944.
