I wanted to build this kit becuase it had an unsual camoflauge scheme that wasn't seen very often on Panther tanks. This particular tank was manufactured by MAN in the spring of 1945 and went straight to the front with the 11th Panzer Division. It was most likely painted in Dark green and Dark yellow and did not have the usual tri-colour camo colour pattern applied. It is believed that paint stocks were low and MAN used this two tone camo scheme during tank production in the spring of 1945. These tanks were finished with a hard edge camo and to achieve this I hand painted the dark green pattern.

For the hand painting I used Vallejo acrylics heavily tinned which I built up in layers achieve the hard edge look. I used the Aber set for this particular kit including PE shurzen. Weathering  of dust and dirt was achieved with Mig Pigments. There is no virtually no chipping on this tank as it was only in the field for a few months though even tanks that were in the field for a year or more(if they lasted that long) generally didn't have much chipping of the paint.
