North American P-51B Mustang "Shangri-La"

336th Fighter Squadron, 4th Fighter Group.

Location: Debden, England. Early 1944.

Pilot: Captain Don Gentile, Piqua, Ohio.

Tamiya's P-51B Mustang is probably the definitive Mustang in 1/48 scale. Released in 1995 with reboxes during that time it still a great kit. Fit and engineering are good though the landing gear can be a bit fiddly. Also, the rear windows behind the cockpit do not line up very well with a closed canopy
