After purchasing the hard cover book Duel in the Mist which covers the attack on Stoumont by the 1st SS Panzer Division during the Battle of the Bulge I wanted to build a panther from this unit. I chose Panther 214 as there are a number German Cine films showing this tank during the attack on Stoumont. I used the excellent Dragon Panther G kit and added a metal barrel and decals from Archer Dry transfers. The schurzen are made from Plastic card. The figure is a Dragon figure and Hornet head.  The hard edge camo work was done free hand with my airbrush with a .2mm needle and tip. The tank was given a wash of filters and oil based washes. Mud and dirt was done with mig pigments and pastels. The pine boughs are from a supplier I can't recall.  Below are some pictures of this tank during the battle.
